Allen Young, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Young of
Broughton, won his Navy 'Wings of Gold" last week
and was commissioned an Ensign in the Navy Reserve. He
completed his flight training at the Naval Air Training
Center, Pensacola, Fla., the "Annapolis of the
Air." Having been designated a Naval Aviator, Ensign Young will go on active duty at one of the Navy's air operational training centers before being assigned to a combat zone. |
