Individual note:   Graduated, 1834, Philidelphia Medical College, now the
University of Penn. He 1st located at Wheeling, W.VA., but in
1840 removed to jefferson City, MO. and was taken into
partnership by his bro., Dr. Alexander McDonald DAVISON, who,
although still under 30, possessed the largest and most
lucraive practice in the city. While in Wheeling, he met and
married (1836) Ann Alexander Caldwell, dau. of Judge Alecander
Caldwell. They married at the residence of the Judge in
Wheeling, VA. (now W.VA.)Double ring ceremony with her sister,
Mary Elizabeth Scoville CALDWELL to Hugh BRADY. See du Bellet
and stories compiled by A.C. POWELL. See log the Dr. kept
while in MO. 3 siblings married into Maj. Issac Hite 'of
Belle Grove Plantation' Middletown,VA & 2nd wife, Ann Tunstall

66-68. Lawyer. His farm consisted of about 1,000 acres, given
to his wife by her father, Maj. Isaac Hite, on the North Branch
of the Shenandoah River and named it 'The Forest.' Called 'The
Old Squire.' Drew plan for St. Thomas Episcopal Chapel in
Middletown. Represented Fredrick & Warren Co., VA in Senate;
Vesterman; Attended UVA till father's death. Came home to
take care of father's business.
