Individual note:   see du Bellet.Vol. III ppg 69-71 graduated, 1835, Medical
College, in Philadelphia, PA. (later U. of PA.) Began practice
in Jefferson City, MO. in 1836. 1st Pres. of 1st medical
assoc. in St. Louis. Dr. William Armstrong Davison began
partnership with his bro. in 1840. In 1849, Asiatie cholera
scoured the city, and all the doctors left byt the Davison
Doctors. In 1851 he purchased 1,000 acres in Saline Co., MO.
and opened a model farm which prospered until the Civil War.
Returned to Jefferson City, became Pres. of 1st National Bank
and served as Mayor for 2 yrs. Episcopal.

the attractions of a soldier's life, and joined Shelby's
Brigade. In their terrible march to Texas, when strong men
succumbed to hunger and fatigue, the boy soldier sank under his
privations and died at Myrtle Springs, TX. du bellet. p70
