George came to America in 1842 and lived in Schuykill Co. in the area of his cousins Catherine and Elizabeth (Heckler) Eickert..... He had come with his seven children: Michael, Henry, Jurtel (f) Adam, Barbara, Leana and Crate. The oldest son, Michael was a tailor by trade and lived and died in Philadelphia, unmarried. The whereabouts of the others are unknown.1
