- He founded the American Merri-Lei Corporation in Portland, OR in 1917 and moved it to Brooklyn, NY in 1925. He invented the "Mars Radio Hat". An article in the 31 December, 1949 issue of Collier's Magazine (pp. 36, 37, 48) shows photographs of Victor Hoeflich and his party favor business along with a description of his business and personal life.
- The US Patent and Trademark Office lists him as inventor of numerous
patents.
