Henrich brought his family from Freinsheim, in the German Palatinate to Pennsylvania in 1723. While living in Freinsheim he served as a minor court official, "Raths-Diener" or tipstaff [1]. He obtained a passport from town officials on April 25, 1723. He settled in Hanover Township, Philadelphia (now Montgomery) county. In 1728 he signed a petition of local residents to the governor asking for protection from the Indians. He is listed on the tax records of New Hanover Township in 1734 for 100 acres of land.
