He married Agnes Dotterer the daughter of Hieronymus and Catherine (nee Mosel) Dotterer in 1743. They were members for a time of the Oley Moravian congregation, and lived in New Hanover Township, Montgomery Co., PA. He donated wheat to help the citizens of Boston in 1775. He served in the Militia during the Revolutionary War. He and his wife are buried at Leidig's Private cemetery in Upper Frederick Township, Montgomery Co., PA. [1]
