We, Martin Lewis and his wife Winnie - Husband and Wife being of sound mind with the knowledge of the uncertainity of life do make this our last Will and testament.
First - To our two sons Allen Crockett and Carriage Tipton - we will and bequeath our homestead on the waters of Wilson Creek in Collin County - containing one hundred acres more or less also one other tract of 5 acres timbered land in the fork of East Fork and Wilson Creek.
Second - The balance of all the personal or real property that we may be in possession of at our decease to be divided equally between all of our children.
Third - We do by these present, also, appoint Allen Crockett and Carriage Tipton, parties to the foregoing will, our administrators to execute and carry out the stipulations of the foregoing will.
Given under our hands this the 16th day of July 1881

Your petitioner Allen Crockett Lewis and Carriage Tipton Lewis residents of Collin Co. Texas represent to the court that their father Martin Lewis died in Collin Co. Texas about Oct. 19th 1897 - at his home and their mother Winnie Lewis died at her home in Collin County about July 20th 1881 and both lived in Collin Co at time of their respective deaths and both owned real and personal property in Collin County at the time of their respective deaths - They both left a lawful will made by them jointly by which they bequeathed their real and personal property and named these petitioners as executors thereof. Said will is hereby attached, Wherefore they ask that their said will be probated as required by law after due notice and that petitioners be appointed executors and for all relief as pertains hereto.
