Genealogy has been a life-long interest for me. While I am actively involved in society work, I continue to do personal research. I have posted pages for a few of the families on which I am working (listed on the menu to the left), but there are many more. I research many allied families, also, so not all of these names are my direct ancestors.

Some of the families in which I am particularly interested are:

	Rather or Wrather: anywhere or anytime in the United States, but most particularly James Adair Rather of Washington County, Arkansas.
	In Oregon (1850-current): Kidd, Fry, Huntington, Markham, Wahl.
	In Switzerland (1800s): Knobel & Hefty (kt Glarus), Bichsel & Losli (kt Bern).
	F. Wilhelm Wahl who came from Berleberg. Prussia to Pennsylvania in 1832, and died in Moulton, Iowa.
	Sutherland, in Trumbull County, Ohio and Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
	Gollihugh or Gollahue: Carter County, Kentucky.
