Cave Spring Cemetery and Cave Spring School are intertwined with the Dawson family history. These photographs were taken in April, 2002 by Forrest and Jean Ladd.

Cave Spring School, where some of the Dawson children and grandchildren went to school. The school is located adjacent to the Cave Spring Cemetery near Sarcoxie, Missouri. The walls have pockmarks of bullet holes from the Civil War. A pastime of children during recess was picking bullets out of the holes in the brick.
