Lineage of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood



Several weeks ago, my granddaughter was baptized by her Grandfather.  How did Grandfather Vonn have the authority to do the ordinance of Baptism?  He received his Melchizedek Priesthood in the following manner.

Grandfather Vonn was ordained an Elder January 20, 1974
 by Great Grandfather Benjamin Archibald Leatham.

was ordained a High Priest February 9, 1947 by Spencer W. Kimball.


Spencer W. Kimball Spencor W. Kimball
was ordained an Apostle October 7, 1943 by Heber J. Grant.


Heber J. GrantHeber J. Grant
was ordained an Apostle October 16, 1882 by George Q. Cannon.


George Q. CannonGeorge Q. Cannon
was ordained by an Apostle August 26, 1860 by Brigham Young.


Brigham Young Brigham Young
was ordained an Apostle February 14, 1835
under the hands of the Three Witnesses:
