Deed Recorded in Court House of Mason County, Ky at Maysville. July 5,1821
 
Know all men by these presents that I, James Warnock Sr of Greenup County and state of
Kentucky for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which I have and bear
to my son Samuel Warnock of Mason County and state aforesaid have given, granted,
released, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do give and grant, release and
comfirm with my son Samuel for and during his natural life one Negro boy slave named
Squire, aged about 18 years to have and to hold the said Negro boy slave to my son
Samuel during his natural life and upon his death I give and grant the said Negro boy slave
to his children lawfully begotten and to their heirs and assigns forever to have and to hold
the said Negro boy slave to the said children of my said son Samual lawfully begotten from
and after the death of my said son Sanuel to then and their heirs and assigns, In testimony
whereof I have hereunto set my name and afficed my Seal the day and date above written.

On this 19th. day of July,1821, James Warnock and son Samuel appeared before the
County Court Clerk and acknowledged the foregoing deed to be the same which his name
James Warnock Sr attached unto.

          Book E  Page 525 Deed to set SLAVE FREE. May 5th. 1834.

    As my ole man Sam has been a faithful Slave, I hereby agree for and in consideration of
his former services, and for the further consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid, to
liberate and set free the said Negro Sam, and he is hereby manumitten and set to Liberty.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 5th. day of May, 1834.

Deed from James Warnock Sr., to Matthew Warnock October 7th.,1835+
Recorded at Greenup County Court House,Greenup, Ky. book,F page 161
   This Indenture made this seventh day of October,in the year of our Lord, one
thousand eight hundred and thirty five, between James Warnock Sr., of the one part, and Matthew Warnock, of the other part, both of the County of Greennp, and the State of Kentucky, Witnesseth, that the said James Warnock Sr., for and in consideration of the sum of two hundered and fifty ($250.00) dollars,to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and for and in consideration of the natural love and affection of the said James Warnock, Sr., to his beloved daughter Sally Alexander and her children; Elizabeth, Jane, James, Susan, and Rebecca Alexander, the said James Warnock, Sr.  has this day granted, bargains, sells, and conveys unto the said Matthew Warnock, one negro girl slave named Esther, sixteen or seventeen years of age, (now in possession of William Alexander by hiring), and her issue, to have and to hold the said Negro Ester, and her issue or increase to the said Matthew Warnock, his heirs and assigns forever, but it is understood that this deed is on the trust and condition following, to-wit; that the benefit and all profit and  advantages of said girl is to be appropriated to the use of said Sally Alexander during her natural life, and after her death the said James Warnock Sr., conveys the said Negro girl and all her increase, to the children above named (of the said Sally Alexander), and to those that may here after be born of her, to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike, and if any of said ohildren should die, having no
children, their said share of said estate slave and issues, is to be divided equally amongst the surviving children of said Sally Alexander, and the said Matthew Warnock, covenants and agrees on his part to receive this deed and fulfill the trusts herein contained, by first permitting the said Sally Alexander to have the use of the said girl Esther and the profits arising from the labour, during her natural life and at  the death of the said Sally Alexander, by conveying to the children of the said Sally Alexander, herein before named, and provided for the said girl Esther and her interests.
    In testimony whereof we have here unto set our hands and seals, the day anddate first above mentioned.
