Barge 92 is the closest one, number is visible on the inside of the barge. Photo from collection of Elizabeth Marine Ways   Close up of Barge 92

JW writes about numerous barges being at the Elizabeth Marine Ways, by their designated numbers.  On most photos which show barges the numbers are not visible or extremely difficult to read. JW mentions that Barge 92 docks at EMW during November 1921 and January 1923. The photo above from the collection of the Elizabeth Marine Ways is part of several that were taken to show a fleet of barges docked at West Elizabeth, across the river from Elizabeth. The other photos are on Elizabeth Town Scapes.

The photo below showing Barges 92 and 87 is dated 1912 and thus questionable if these are the same barges as mentioned by JW during November 1921, January 1923 and November 1922.  These might not even be owned by the same company, as JW would of been working primarily on barges owned by River Coal , with an RC painted on them.  Barges in this photo could of been owned by J K Davidson Sand Company as noted by name on Dredge in photo.  Regardless it is a good photo showing barges numbered 87 and 92.  Exact location of photo is unknown.
