There were three Steamers CLAIRTON, the first built in 1918 changed its name in 1919 to KANAWHA. The photo below is of the boat built in 1918, before its name was changed.

The original CLAIRTON  

The second was built in 1919 and worked until 1952 when the third one was built.  I believe the photos below are of the boat that worked from 1919 to 1952.

From collection of James Arnold  The CLAIRTON collided with the ALLEGHENY on February 6, 1941 near Donora, PA.  This photo from the collecion of an unknown riverbuff shows the boat being raised.
