| THE SETTLEMENT OF PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY by Nick Mika: The Members of the MORDEN family who settled in Prince Edward County following the American Revolution, were United Empire Loyalists. John MORDEN was a loyalist who was granted 100 acres of land in Ameliasburgh. He and his wife, Eve Bowman, raised 5 children: Joseph, John Howell, James, Richard, and Julia. They had 3 other children who died at young ages. |
