...The November date is correct. She is buried next to Ben in International Falls, MN in Forest Hill Cemetery. Her death was viewed as suspicious I guess...

John: Why do you think her death may have been viewed as suspicious?

Mike: I was very young when this happened so I only know what I am told. Shortly after Ben died from a stroke and complications of that Etelka began "seeing" Jim who was renting a room in the Thiele home. Scandalous in the 50's. The kids were horrified. The family always viewed this Jim with suspiscion and dislike I guess. The facts and the story of her death seemed to changed everytime the story was told by him. They were driving along and he thought she was sleeping. I do not believe an autposy was done. Etelka's kids never bought the story(s)...

John: I'm assuming that she and Jim Valentine did not have any children.

Mike: No....and I know next to nothing of him or what happened to him after she died. The kids wanted nothing to do with him I guess...
