    Riverside Cemetery is well maintained by Illiopolis Township. It is a fairly large cemetery with burials beginning in the 1860's. Several earlier burials can be found at Wilcox Cemetery, Illiopolis as well as Long Point Cemetery in Niantic Township in Macon County.

    Riverside Cemetery is located approximately one and one-half miles south of Interstate 72 on the Mechanicsburg blacktop and is approximately two miles south of the village of Illiopolis. Address is 1500 Dye Road, located at County markers 21E S. Dye Rd & Mechanicsburg/Illiopolis Rd and 1.5 Myers Rd.
