     Catherine S. Buck was born on 6 December 1835 at Tennessee.3,4,2 She was the daughter of David Buck and Rebecca Rice Barnes. Catherine S. Buck married Joseph Bartlett circa 1853.4 As of circa 1853,her married name was Bartlett. Catherine S. Buck and Joseph Bartlett appeared in the census of 20 August 1870 at Bethany Township, Harrison County, Missouri.6 Catherine S.     The Miriam/I.O.O.F. Cemetery was established in 1870. It is located in the northwest portion of the city of Bethany, and is generally considered the City Cemetery. Although it was formally established as the Miriam-I.O.O.F Cemetery in 1870, the original Miriam Cemetery dates back to the 1850s.
