BOWN Oral Ann, born in Modesto, Il. June 21, 1912 to Alvin and Maggie Buck, died in Edmond on Sept. 8, 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale W. Bown, and moved to Edmond from Hartwell, Ga. to be with her remaining family. Survivors include her son, Donald D. Bown, daughter-in-law Jane Muschany Bown; 2 grandchildren, Melissa Anne Gorman and her husband Mark, Matthew D. Bown and his wife Jill; and 2 great granddaughters, Abigail Suzanne Bown and Meredith Jane Bown. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Naomi Buck Stults of Palmyra, Il. and Helen Buck Welch of Peoria, Il. Memorial gifts may be made to the Ambassador's Concert Choir, PO Box 18301, OKC, Ok 73154-0301. Mrs. Bown donated her body to OUHSC for medical research. No serv ices will be held.
