     Phoebe Grovesteen was born on 27 July 1798 at Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut.1 She was the daughter of Johannes Grovesteen and (?) (?) Phoebe Grovesteen married John Woodruff on 16 February 1820 at Stanford, Dutchess County, New York.2,3 As of 22 February 1820,her married name was Woodruff. Phoebe Grovesteen died on 14 July 1850 at Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, at age 51.4
