     Cora Julia Hiler was born on 18 August 1884 at Maxwell, Sangamon County, Illinois.1,3 She was the daughter of William Allen Hiler and Eunice Eleanor Edwards.3 Cora Julia Hiler appeared in the census of 25 June 1900 in the household of William Allen Hiler and Eunice Eleanor Edwards at Tamalco Township, Bond County, Illinois.4 As of 29 October 1902,her married name was Harford.5 Cora Julia Hiler married George W. Harford, son of George W. Harford and Hannah Emeline Buck, on 29 October 1902 at Morgan County, Illinois.1,5 Cora Julia Hiler and George W. Harford appeared in the census of 19 April 1910 at Jacksonville, Morgan County, Illinois.6 Cora Julia Hiler married Arthur A. Greenwood on 3 January 1917 at Morgan County, Illinois.7 As of 3 January 1917,her married name was Greenwood. Cora Julia Hiler and Arthur A. Greenwood appeared in the census of 13 January 1920 at Ward Two, Jacksonville, Morgan County, Illinois.8 Cora Julia Hiler appears in the Photo: Grp circa 1924 at Jacksonville, Morgan County, Illinois.9 She died on 30 May 1926 at Jacksonville, Morgan County, Illinois, at age 41.3 She was buried on 1 June 1926 at East Cemetery, Jacksonville, Morgan County, Illinois.3,2

    Cora Julia Greenwood

    The death of Mrs. Cora Julia Greenwood, wife of Arthur Greenwood, 523 Sherman Street, occurred at 8 o'clock last night at Oak Lawn sanitarium where she had been under treatment a number of months.

    Mrs. Greenwood was born August 18, 1884. She was first united in marriage with George Hartford, and to that union four children were born. There are also four children from her marriage with Mr. Greenwood.

    The children are Freda Mae, Henrietta, Amos and Ernest Greenwood; Mildred Carroll and Lulabelle Hartford and Mrs. E. C. Metternick. She also leaves her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Hiler of Modesto; one brother and four sisters.

    Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the funeral parlors of Arthur G. Cody. Dr. M. L. Pontius officiating. Interment will be in Jacksonville cemetery.

    "Henrietta "Etta" Paris, 88, of Krum passed away Friday, May 09, 2008 at Denton Regional Medical Center. She was born April 26, 1920 in Iowa. She married Oscar Vernon "Jake" Paris. He preceded her in death. She was a member of Krum First Baptist Church. She had been a member of VFW Post #2205 in Denton for years. Visitation will be Sunday, May 11, 2008 from 3 û 5 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Graveside service will be Monday, May 12, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Bolivar Cemetery, west of Sanger with Rev. Buddy Owens officiating. She is survived by nieces Barbara Canady and Twylla Harper, both of Krum and many friends. He is preceded by her husband, Jake Paris and son, Jackie Paris."

    Amos A. Greenwood, 92, of Winchester passed away Thursday,July 10, 2014 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield. He was born Feb. 10, 1922 in Jacksonville, the son of Arthur and Cora Hiler Greenwood. Amos married Virginia Little Dec. 6, 1947 in Jacksonville.

    Surviving is his wife, Virginia of Winchester; three children, Stanley (Fran) Greenwood of Greenfield, Kevin (Donna) Greenwood of Greenview, and Mark (Alice) Greenwood of Franklin; eight grandchildren, Kent (Delonne) Greenwood, Karrie (Brian) Sheridan, Michael Greenwood, Keith (Vicky) Greenwood, Katie (Jacob) Rohlfs, Phillip Greenwood, Kyle Greenwood, and Amanda Greenwood; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Frost, Tanner and Grace Sheridan; along with two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.

    Amos was a fisherman at heart. He loved playing cards and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

    Graveside services will be held 10:00a.m. Monday July 14, 2014 at the Winchester Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Winchester EMS. The Daws Family Funeral Home in Winchester has been entrusted with the services.
