    John,

Jesse Brewer Lake married Elmira (Ella) Barton. They had the following children:

Anna Blanche birth 19 May 1881 died 21 Jun 1881
Mary Angelina Lake birth 24 May 1882 died 2 Dec 1965
Esther Georgina Lake birth 6 Aug 1884 died 8 Jun 1970
Warren Emery Lake birth 14 Jun 1886 died 1 Jan 1956
Peter Robert "Clarence" Lake birth 23 Jul 1888 died 5 Mar 1970
Anthony Hamilton "Tony" Lake birth 12 Dec 1890 died Aug 1963

I have seen Tony also as Jesse Hamilton Lake. Don't know exactly which one is right. I just know him as Tony. I met him when I was very young. Seems like this entire family had nicknames. Warren is known as Warrie, Esther is known as Esse, Angelina was Lina, and the others you now have.

After Jesse died Elmira (Ella) married Otis Gibson Akers. I didn't know that for the longest time. I got a copy of her death certificate and it says Ella Akers. It was a mystery to me for many years.

    John,

This is the only picture that I have for Jesse Lake. He might have played a flute in his youth, but I believe he was a farmer and laborer. He died in his 40s. His wife went on to remarry.

Jesse Brewer Lake was married to Elmira Barton. Their children are

Anna Blanche (died at about 1 month old
Esther Georgina - married Ed Davis
Mary Angelina - married William Beckley Menser
    Warren Emery "Warrie"
    Peter Robert "Clarence"
Jesse Hamilton or Anthony Hamilton "Tony"

Mary Angelina Lake married William Beckley Menser
    3 children:
Floyd Jackson died at age 3
Marjorie Ella - married Wilfred Theodore Voss
Vivian Esther - married John Charles Young (my grandparents)
    2 children:
    Wilfred Monte Young (my Dad)
    Marilee Joan Young (my Aunt)
My Dad and Aunt have both passed away

My Dad was named after his uncle but never liked his name. He went by Bill. He was on the Phoenix Police Department for 26 years. He was the arresting officer for the Miranda Rights arrest. You can google that on-line and it pops up.

I will answer your other questions in another email.

    Paul.
