    Dear Joan, Eileen, and John,

Just for your information I thought that I would share with you this family photo which I have tried to restore.
    Subject: 1108 Patton Avenue

Attached is an image of the George A. and Cecelia I. Baker residence at 1108 Patton Avenue in Springfield, Illinois, with some, though not all, of the family at the time around the mid 1940s. Hazel Jeanette, Lillian Isabelle, Pauline Jane, and Frances June Baker were all raised in this home which their father built himself (according to my mother). It still exists today. At one time my parents lived there in 1940 with Barbara, Larry, and Mike - this was shortly before their move to Terre Haute, Indiana. Later on, June and Kenneth Oehmke lived there for a while.

The names of the family in this photo are: from left to right and in front - Frances June Baker-Oehmke holding George Richard Bird, George Gregory Kyle.
Back row standing left to right: Michael Terrence Kyle, Lawrence Raymond Kyle, Barbara Ann Kyle, Lillian Isabelle Baker-Kyle, Ceceilia Isabelle Buck-Baker, Charles Atkin Bird II, Hazel Jeanette Baker-Bird.

Had Pauline Jane Baker-Carswell, who sometimes traveled back to Springfield from Carmel, California, been present for this photo, Courtney Carswell would have been next to me and Rich since we are all three the same age.

    George.
