Subj: Texas Confederate Pensions

On the Texas Confederate Pensions web site it shows that a  Mrs. M.E.
Ashley applied for a pension in Hunt County, Texas  based on the civil 
war service of her husband  Moses Samuel McDuffy Ashley.  It shows that
the pension was rejected, but perhaps the pension application has
additional family info.  They indicate on the web site how to send for
the pension record.  If you just enter   ASHLEY  in the search  box,  it
will list all the Ashleys that applied for pensions in TX and then
scroll down to   ASHLEY,  M. E.  (Mrs.) and it will list her husband.
