I have that the children of Samuel Shaw Ashley were Moses Samuel
McDuffie Ashley, born Aug 4, 1840; William 'Billie' F. Ashley, born
March 5, 1845; Mary Taylor Ashley, born May 15, 1847 and V. Ashley, born
abt 1857.

This cousin of mine that gave me most of the names for this period had
been given hand written data from an old cousin of hers back in the
1980's. This cousin lived somewhere in Arkansas I think. So this is all
that I had to go one. I tried to document most of my findings in Hunt
County, Texas and Kaufman County, Texas that I could find. Went to the
cemeteries in Hunt county and photographed all the stones that were
there. Even researched the Kaufman County and Hunt county papers
for any info on the Ashley line. Not much there.
