The Letter found in the back of the bible of James Henry Johnson m: G. E. Wells

Left is the the church Letter (click to enlarge) of William Henry Wells dated "This 21 day of July 1906". It looks like a page (53) out of the ledger book itself. Page 4 of the links below shows W. We don't know what year William's daughter was born but she is buried a Shoal Creek. Late 1889 or later most likely. Grandmother stated she was very young and would always show us the location of the grave of "Little Sister". The Shoal Creek minutes contains many mentions of William Henry Wells: First church abt. 1823 Last church 1885-1890 Gideon Smith was the father in law of William Henry Wells b. Feb 25, 1826, d. Mar 27, 1892 Company A, Bell's Battalion, CSA Mildred (Barrow) Smith applied for pension in Cleburne CO., in 1894 Henry Well was enlisted 1 Apr, 1863 at Tullahoma, Tn by B. F. Patton for a period of 3 yrs. Reported present in the Nov & Dec muster roll 1863 He is reported absent in the Jan & Feb and Mar & Apr muster roll. Sent to the hospitial 20 Jan 1864 by Surg Griffin
