HAWKINS Artifacts--Lucy (Parker) Butler/Hawkins' Will

WILL OF LUCY (PARKER) BUTLER/HAWKINS

Be it remembered that I Lucy Hawkins of Winchester in the County of Chesire and State of New Hampshire widow of Stephen Hawkins late of said Winchester deceased; considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory blessed be God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following--
that is to say--

First-- I give and bequeath unto my four children hereafter names (viz) Larnard Hawkins, Oliver Hawkins, Amy A. Hawkins and Daniel Hawkins all my money at interest to be equally divided between them.

Second-- I give and bequeath unto my four Sons (viz) John Butler, Larnard Hawkins, Oliver Hawkins and Daniel Hawkins all my stock of cattle (viz) all my cows youth cattle and sheep if I shall have own any at the time of my decease.

Third-- I give and bequeath unto my six Daughters (viz) Sarah Willard wife of Paul Willard, Lucy Holton wife of Bohan Holton, Juliet Clark wife of David Clark, Peris Holton wife of Elihu Holton, Susan Taylor wife of Charles Tayler and Amy A. Hawkins all my wearing aparel, all my beds and bedding also all my household furniture of every description to be divided between them as equally as it can be

And lastly, as to all the rest, residue and remainder of my personal estate whatsoever (if any), after paying all of my debts, I give and bequeath to all my children above named to be equally divided between them; and I hereby constitute and appoint Elihu Holton to be my sole executor of this my last will and testament--hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventh day of August, A.D. 1841
