TOMSON Narrative

Lieut. JOHN TOMSON
Lieutenant John Tomson was commander of the Fort at Middleboro MA during King Philip's War.  He was constable of Plymouth in 1650, surveyor of highways for Barnstable in 1653, frequently a selectman for Barnstable until 1673, and selectman for Middleboro in 1674. On June 5, 1671, he was recorded as a freeman of Barnstable.
