1901 Census - 107 Camden Grove North, Camberwell, London, age 40, occupation: Undertakers coffin maker, born Camberwell, residing with 2nd wife Kate, 4 children of 2nd marriage and relatives Jane and Charlotte Simpson, age 66 and 60. Judging by their ages, Jane & Charlotte would appear to have been cousins of William's, the age difference accounted for by the fact that William was a younger sibling in his family, whereas his uncle Joseph was the second eldest of his generation. This address had been Joseph's family home in the 1881 Census and so William and his faimly had moved in with his cousins.
