Our Dernee Family Birth Book

The Family Birth Book was made by Charles Moore Jones d'Ernée, grandfather of Basil and Vyv and Doris.
It was left to Basil's father, John Arthur Frederick Jones d'Ernée by his sister Margaret.
In Basil's will, he passes this book on to John Victor Dernee. He had already sent the book to Australia in 1981, around the time of the weddings of Allan and Geoff, John's sons.
It is a detailed document, surviving well, tracing our origins back to the Kings of North Wales, South Wales and Powiz, who were then fighting off the viking invasions, and more recently, to an Elizabethan Knight.

You see it here almost actual size, opened. When closed, the Birth Book measures 80mm by 130mm.
The document now exists on colour slide film, as well as (obviously) digitised.
