WILLIAM JESSE JONES
CIVIL WAR SOLDIER

William was a Union Soldier in the Missouri State Militia 4th Reg. of Cavalry Company M under Captain Cross from March 29, 1862 to March 28, 1865.  He saw combat during the Price Raids into Missouri during which time William was taken prisoner and suffered a stomach wound.  The above photograph of William is a copy of the original which was provided by Steve Cox.  He would like to know who has the original photo.  If you know who has the original please email Steve at [email protected]
