William A. Franks passed away last night about eleven o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anna Lang, near Heidelberg. The body was brought to Gehlbach and Reech's Funeral Home in Corydon where it will remain until the funeral hour. Surviving are two sons and three daughters, Harve and Preston Franks, Mrs. Edna Feller and Mrs. Anna Lang of this county and Mrs. Lillie Byerly of Illinois. He wife preceded him in death. The deceased was 76 years, 4 months, and 8 days of age. Services will be held at the Heidelberg Church Thursday at two o'clock. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Terrance Robert Scanlon, 33, of Walton, died Wednesday at his home. He was a production manager with the Real Estate Book and a member of Florence Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Valerie Scanlon; sons, Brendan Scanlon and Christian Scanlon, both of Walton; his parents, Louise and Robert Scanlon of Florence; two sisters and five brothers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Florence Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 tonight at the church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to Terry Scanlon Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 18752, Erlanger, Ky. 41018.

In 1872, the day Horace Creely was being voted on for President, Butler and Elizabeth Cammack with three small children moved from English, Crawford County, Indiana to Kentucky and lived in Grant and Owen Counties. They also raised Richard Hill, a great nephew of Elizabeth F. Cammack, taking him when about three years old. His mother left with four children. Richard Hill married a granddaughter of one of Butler Cammack's brothers. They had several children. Richard Hill died of cancer.
Floyd, 88, and Emma C. Kinman, 80, are living, (August 1963) and going strong. Elizabeth Franks Cammack died May 23, 1931 and Butler Cammack's age was 93 when he died. He had out lived all Cammacks on record. He passed away October 5, 1942. Both are buried in the Owenton Cemetery.
A genealogist said recently that a person from Colonial times to the present day has the possiblility of having eleven million cousins more being born every day.
