WHITE |
Jessica Griffiths, daughter of Levoy White sent me an email in February 2000 with an interesting remembrance of her father and Jackson B. White Sr. It would seem that the elder White often spoke to his children about his first child "Little George" who died as a 2 year old. According to Levoy, his father told him that "little George" would wait by the front window each day for his father to return home from work with his hands pressed against the window pane. When "Little George" died, Jackson would not let anyone wash the handprints off, where they remained. Jackson also wrote a song about "Little George" that he would sing to his other children. |
