District # 11 - Walbridge School

Students in the Walbridge school in 1906: Lila PERRY (POWERS), Myrtie (WALBRIDGE) VOODRY (teacher), Maidene WALBRIDGE (BOLTON), Ruth CONANT, Edna WALBRIDGE, Raymond FARRINGTON, Agnes WALBRIDGE (CARTER), Merna WALBRIDGE (SPAULDING), Hazel PERRY (GRAY), Thelma FARRINGTON (WALBRIDGE), Elva WALBRIDGE, (SANBORN). Maurice WALBRIDGE. Fred WALBRIDGE and Leon PERRY.

In 1915 - 1916, this school closed and children were transported to the village.

Warned at the 1926 Town Meeting: "To see if town will vote to repair or sell the Walbridge school house."

The last time the Walbridge School building was in the town inventory was in 1972, when it was listed for $50. Richard Spaulding bought the building for $50 and moved it to the approximate location of the first school in town, near the Bayley-Hazen Road on Cabot Plains.
