All that is mine in movable and immovable property belongs to my wife Sophia Gerwin whose maiden name was HUNTE who can according to her own wish or will, transfer it to any of our children as she desires after the debts upon it are all paid and can after my death dispose of it as she sees fit.

KNOW ALL MEN by these Presents,
That we Herman GERWIN A. HORNING and William SWAN are held and firmly bound unto the State of Ohio, in the penal sum of Fifty Dollars, to the payment of which we do hereby jointly and severally bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, if default be made in the condition following:
WHEREAS, Letters of Administration ______________________________________________
upon the estate of Sophia GERWIN deceased, were granted to the said Herman GERWIN by the Probate Court of Sandusky County, in the State of Ohio, on the 26th day of Feby. 1895: Now if the said Herman GERWIN as Adminstrator of the estate of said Sophia GERWIN deceased, shall:
FIRST, Make and return into said Court, on oath, within three months, a true inventory of all moneys, goods, chattels, rights and credits of the deceased that are by law to be administered, and which shall come to his possession or knowledge; and also, if required by said Court, an inventory of the real estate of said deceased.
SECOND, Shall administer, according to law, all moneys, goods, chattels, rights, and credits of the said deceased, and the proceeds of all her real estate that may be sold for the payment of her dbts, which shall at any time come to the possession of said administrat , or to the possession of any other person for him.
THIRD, Shall render, upon oath, a just and true account of his administration within eighteen months, and at any other time when required by said Court or the law; and failing so to do for thirty days after he shall have been notified of the expiration of the time by the Probate Judge h shall receive no allowance for his services, nless the Court shall enter upon its journal that such delay was necssary and reasonable.
FOURTH, Shall pay any balance remaning in his hands upon the settlement of his acconts, to such persons as said Court or the law shall direct; and
FIFTH, Shall deliver the Letters of Administration into the Court, in case any will of said deceased shall hereafter duly proved and allowed; then this obligation to be void; otherwise to remain in full force and effect.Fremont, Ohio, 26th day of February A.D. 1895

PROBATE COURTIn the matter of the
Estate of Sophia GERWIN }
Deceased.To the Hon. Probate Court of said County.
Now comes Herman GERWIN and reports to the Court that no property of any kind or discription has come into his hands from said estate as such administrator, except a certain mortgage in the sum of $1200.00 given by one William GERWIN to said Sophia GERWIN, dated Jan'y 13, 1865, and upon the following described premises to wit:
Situate in Woodville Township, Sandusky County, Ohio, and known as the East half of the South east quarter Section number Two (2) said Township No. 5 N. Range No. 13 East, containing 80 acres more or less.
That said administrator finds from investigation that said mortgage has been fully paid to the said Sophia GERWIN, and that there is nothing due thereon, and the same has been by me as such administrator, duly cancelled. Said mortgage is recorded in the Mortgage Records of said County in Vol. 10 at Page 511.
There is no other property of any kind or discriptin belonging to said estate, and said estate has no debts, and said administrator asks to be discharged.
