George Judkins (1830-1905)


George Judkins was born in Buckinghamshire, England on the 12th June, 1830 and christened at Aylesbury on 19th July in the same year. He was one of 12 children to William and Sarah (nee Seamons) Judkins. Along with two of his brothers Henry and Charles he was among the early pioneers of Victoria, Australia. He farmed at Lake Rowan and also worked for a municipal council. He married Ellen Keaton at Ringwood on the 13th January 1871. He died at Caulfield on 23rd December 1905. He is buried at Brighton Cemetery in an unmarked grave.
