Wednesday afternoon, a large number of the friends of Mrs. L. D. Busbee gathered at the Busbee home near Irving and gave Mrs. Busbee a surprise birthday celebration. Local friends of the Busbees were already gathered at the home helping the honoree observe her anniversary, when automobiles, bearing a number of friends from distant points arrived. The new arrivals brought with them, large quantities of good things to eat, and the afternoon was pleasantly spent by the visitors in talking over the days when they were all much younger than they are now.
     Among those in the party who surprised Mrs. Busbee, were Mrs. George Wright, Sowers; Mrs. Sarah Blackman, Shreveport, La.; Mrs. O. L. Story and Mrs. L. D. Arnesnam, Kit; Mrs. Myrtle Young, Berlin, Okla.; Mrs. Frankie Busbee, Birmingham, Ala.; Mrs. Jane Chitwood, Collbran, Ala., and Mrs.. Zeno Stout, Fort Payne, Ala.
