WOMAN SUCCUMBS AT SAN ANTONIO Mrs. Alice
Puterbaugh Maxwell, 30, socially prominent in Dallas,
died shortly before noon Saturday at Santa Rosa Hospital, San
Antonio, after an illness of a few days. Mrs. Maxwell, a native
of Dallas, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Puterbaugh,
1807 South Boulevard. She was the mother of four children, a
daughter, Miss Shirley Maxwell, and three sons, Robert L., and

Garland Baptist Church at 2 p. m. Sunday for Henry Clay Smith,
80, who died at his home here Friday night. Burial will follow
in the Mills Cemetery. Mr. Smith was born Aug. 14, 1856, in Alabama,
and came to Texas with his parents in 1869, settling near Spring
Creek. The following year, he moved to a farm near Garland, where
he resided at the time of his death. In 1884, he was married
to Miss Cassie Jacobs, and to this union, five children were
born, four of whom survive him -- Cliff R. Smith, Garland; Mrs.

one of the last to die, his commission being the last one signed

Thomas F. Crowley, 51, of 3113 Cornell Avenue, for the last fifteen years connected with W. A. Green & Co. as buyer and advertising manager, died early Tuesday morning at St. Paul's Hospital. He was stricken and taken to the hospital on Thanksgiving Day. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. The body is at the Weiland Funeral Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Geneva Lee Crowley, and two daughters, Alice Irene and Gene Frances Crowley. Mr. Crowley came to Dallas in 1916. Williamson, 79, pioneer resident of Dallas County, who died at his home at Mockingbird Lane and Abrams Road Thursday afternoon, were held this afternoon. Burial was in Cox Cemetery. Surviving are his widow, one brother and one sister. Deceased had been a resident of the county for sixty years. He and his wife celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1935.
