McDonald, of Grimes county.....two years a teacher.

     Mr. Rufus E. Brown, the only full brother of our distinguished and honored fellow citizen, Major John Henry Brown, died at Silver City, N.M., on October 20. Mr. Brown was, for years, an active worthy citizen of South Texas.

Family Reunion.

     A pleasant reunion of the Rust family was held at the residence of Mr. A. B. Rust on Ross avenue yesterday at which were present the aged mother, Mrs. M. E. Rust and all her living children, who are as follows: John E., Albert D., Eldredge G., Alfred B., Emory G. and their only sister, Mrs. Clara Bisbee, recently from Michigan. In addition were the wives of all but John E. -- Mrs. Julia A. Rust. Mrs. Maggie Rust, Mrs. Ida Rust, Mrs. Lucy Rust--and Frank A., son of Albert D. and his wife, Mrs. Belle Rust, of Ennis. Yesterday was the first time of the meeting of all living members of the family for over 37 years past.
