5. Elizabeth COMSTOCK was born in 1631 in England.9,19,29 She was baptized on 18 December 1631 in Saint Margaret of Uxbridge, Middlesex, England. She died in July 1659 at the age of 28 in Saybrook, Middlesex County, Connecticut.19

Elizabeth COMSTOCK and Edward SHIPMAN were married in January 1650/1 in Saybrook, Middlesex County, Connecticut.9 Edward SHIPMAN was born about 1630 in Hull, England.30 He died on 15 September 1697 at the age of 67 in Saybrook, Middlesex County, Connecticut.31

Genealogical Dict of the 1st Settlers of New England: name was Shipton when proposed as freeman Oct. 1667; recorded in new form at death.
In the will of the Indian sachem Uncas, dated 29 Feb 1676, Edward was one of three devisees to which the testator gave 3000 acres "within sight of Hartford".
