Elizabeth COMSTOCK and Edward SHIPMAN were married in January 1650/1 in Saybrook, Middlesex County, Connecticut.⁹ Edward SHIPMAN was born about 1630 in Hull, England.³⁰ He died on 15 September 1697 at the age of 67 in Saybrook, Middlesex County, Connecticut.³¹

4. one parsill of land given me by the town lying upon the long point abutting north to the Creek east to the land of Abram POST south to the land of master FENWICK and west to the commons of this land there is nine acres five of upland and four of meadow the towne did grant an acre to this land as abovesaid so that as now bounded on the south by the highway on the east by John WESTALL's meadow.
