H. Barton Comstock, 70 years old, 625 North 13th St, Van Buren died Thursday afternoon September 24 in a local hospital following a long illness.
He was born at Uniontown on June 10, 1900, the son of Randolph and Temperance Speir Comstock and spent most of his life in Van Buren. He was a member of Wood Memorial Christian Church and was a retired automobile mechanic.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Cora Irene Comstock; three daughters, Mrs. W. R. Young of Cypress, California, Mrs. Bill Degen of Fort Smith and Mrs. H. Y. Howell of Muskogee, Oklahoma; a brother, R. K. (Dike) Comstock of Sparks, Okla; three sisters Mrs. R. C. Mills and Mrs. L. E. Call both of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Tom Marshall of Uniontown; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. September 16 in Fentress Mortuary chapel. Jack Cutbirth, pastor of Wood Memorial Christian Church officiated. Burial was in Roselawn cemetery.
Mrs. R. C. Mills, is a sister of Mr. Comstock and Miss Mary Jane Comstock is a niece of his. Both are members of the Crawford County Historical Society.

Hugh Barton COMSTOCK and Cora Irene HULSEY were married on 13 March 1921.37 Cora Irene HULSEY, daughter of James Franklin HULSEY and Cora Cordelia MCHALLAND, was born on 17 October 1898.255,257 She died in June 1978 at the age of 79 in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas.218 Parents were James Franklin Hulsey and Cora Cordelia McHalland

Mrs. Cora Irene Comstock, 79, of 625 N. 13th Street, Van Buren, Arkansas, died Saturday, June 24, 1978 in a Fort Smith hospital.
A native of Uniontwon, Arkansas, she was born October 17, 1898 to Henry and Cora McHolland Hulsey, and was the widow of Bart Comstock who died September 4, 1970. She was a member of Wood Memorial Christian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors are three daughters, Bernice, Ava, and Doris; a sister Myrtle ; a brother; and six grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fentress Mortuary chapel. W. Ray Moore was the officiating minister. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were board members of Wood Memorial Chiristian Church.
