Clara wrote an article following a 50th wedding anniversary for Dike and Clara, which included a picture of them as newlyweds in 1921. She talked about receiving many cards and described their pecan farm. She named her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also listed many out of town visitors.

Ralph Klondike "Dike" COMSTOCK and Clara Mabel HAGGARD were married on 4 December 1921 in Dripping Springs, Crawford County, Arkansas.³⁷ Clara Mabel HAGGARD, daughter of William Martin HAGGARD and Mary R. Belle "Mollie" STEVENS, was born on 25 October 1903 in Dripping Springs, Crawford County, Arkansas.³⁷ She died on 3 November 1991 at the age of 88 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.²¹⁸

Clara sent a letter to Press Argus, newspaper of Van Burn, just after she and Dike had celebrated this 50th Anniversary on Dec 5th, 1971. It was printed in the paper on Thursday, 23 Dec 1971.

Four great grands, Kelly Kirton, age 8, in 3rd grade ...Dean Kirton, age 4 ...cotton headed Chris who is five ...Becky (who) wasn't even here last year.

Mary Jane COMSTOCK was born on 29 December 1932 in Van Buren, Crawford County, Arkansas.^37,258 She died on 30 June 1976 at the age of 43 in Sparks, Lincoln County, Oklahoma.²¹⁸ Had polio in 1951; left as quadriplegic. Compiled the "Comstock-Haggard and Allied Families" book in 1972. She is my 2nd cousin, once removed. Buried White Dove Cemetery, Sparks, Lincoln Co, OK. There is a triple headstone for Mary Jane and her parents.
