This is probably the Bud Poindexter, slaver, who was mentioned in THE SAGE OF COE RIDGE.

Josiah Jefferson "Bud" POINDEXTER and Dialpha Jane ASHLOCK were married about 1858. Dialpha Jane ASHLOCK was born in March 1840 in Clay County, Tennessee. She died on 14 March 1911 at the age of 71 in Clay County, Tennessee.
