984. Kathryn Lucille CARNEY was born on 5 October 1924 in Rudy, Crawford County, Arkansas. She died on 10 July 2005 at the age of 80 in Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas.

There were apparently two marriage cermonies. Pascagoula, Jackson Co, MS. License to marry for Iran K. Coatney and Miss Kathryn Lucille Carney issued 12 Aug 1944. Married the same day by L. E. Green, Pastor, 1st Baptist Church, Pascagoula. [I suspect Kenneth was in service on the Gulf Coast.]
Sebastian Co, AR, Fort Smith District. Marriage Bond and License for Iran K. Coatney of Rudy, Ark., to Kathryn L. Carney of Fayetteville. Dated 14 June 1945. He was 23 and she was 21. Married in Washington Co, AR 15 June 1945, by Oscar Lee Gibson, Pastor, 1st Baptist Church, Fayetteville.

"Carneys Entertain Wedding Party"
Mr. and Mrs. Cy Carney entertained at dinner last night for members of the wedding party of their daughter Katherine, who is to be married to Kenneth Coatney, U. S. Coast Guard, tonight. Fourteen were present at the party at Ben Shiley's new Steak House, highway 71.
Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Cy Carney Jr. of Rudy; Miss Doris Kenner, Muskogee, Okla.; Miss Jean Whayne, Hampton; Miss Betty Long, Harrison; Mrs. Marjorie Glover, Little Rock; Miss Colleen Delzell, Van Buren; Miss Bonnie Wilkerson, Miss Bobbie Jean Delzell, and Mrs. JoEllen Adamson, Fayetteville.
The marriage will take place at 8 o'clock tonight at the First Baptist Church.

Carney-Coatney Wedding Solemnized
The marriage of Kathryn Lucille Carney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cy Carney, and First Class Radioman Kenneth I. Coatney, U.S. Coast Guard, son of Mrs. D. W. Griffith of Rudy, was solemnized last night at 8 o'clock at the First Baptist Church.
The Rev. O. L. Gibson officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride was given away by her father, and her brother, Cy Carney Jr. of Rudy, served at best man.
The bride wore a white silk marquisette and taffeta wedding gown trimmed in seed pearls with tight basque bodice and flowing skirt ending in a long train. Her fingertip veil fell from a coronet of pearls.
Mrs. Doris Kenner of Muskogee, maid of honor, wore pink net with matching headdress and rosebud corsage.
Serving as bridesmaids were Mrs. Cy Carney Jr. of Rudy and Miss Jean Whayne of Hampton, both in pale blue net and carrying pink rosebud bouquets. Usherettes Bobbie Jean Delzell of Van Buren and Betty Long of Harrison wore blue net matching that of the bridesmaids.
The tapers on the pews and in the seven-branched candelabra were light by Misses Colleen Ellen Delzell of Van Buren and Bonnie Wilkinson of Fayetteville, who wre pastel yellow net with matching headdresses and blue sweet peas.
Flower girls, dressed in white net, were little Misses Betty Ann Delzell and Karen Kay Adamson, both of Fayetteville. All dresses of the wedding attendants were of the same pattern.
Mrs. Homer Crew played traditional wedding music during the ceremony, with Mrs. Jo Ellen Adamson of Fayetteville as soloist. Mrs. Adamson sang "Because" and "I Love You Truly"
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the house of the bride's parents, 221 E. Lafayette, for relatives and members of the wedding party.
Mrs. Cy Carney Jr. served at the cake and Miss Betty Long at the punch bowl. Mrs. Marjorie Glover of Little Rock sany several selections, favorites of the bride and groom.
Mr. and Mrs. Coatney left immediately after the reception for Mobile, Ala. where he is stationed.
Mrs. Coatney is a graduate of Fort Smith high school, attended Central College at Conway, and was attending the University of Arkansas at the last session. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, honorary music group.
Radioman Coatney recently returned from 12 months overseas.

Kathryn's father's obituary gave her name as Kathryn Dickey,

Found Kathryn's burial, Fairview Memorial Gardens, Fayetteville, on FindAGrave.com - she was buried as Kathryn Coatney in one entry, #11341632 - but another shows her joint marker with Vonell Dickey, #141747390. Her obituary mentions no other husband. Dickey had died in 1995.

Kathryn L. Carney Coatney, 80, of Fayetteville died Sunday, July 10, 2005, in Fayetteville.
She was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Rudy to Cy and Lettie (Comstock) Carney Sr. She was a retired business owner, a member of the First Baptist Church in Fayetteville and a member of Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Michael Coatney of Natural Dam and John Stephen Coatney of Fayetteville; two daughters, Shirley Sue Moss of West Fork, Kathie Ann Marvin of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
Pallbearers will be Mike, John, and Justin Coatney, Austen Moss, Allen Carney, Troy Hutchens and Mark Headrick.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Kathryn Lucille CARNEY and Iran Kennth COATNEY were married on 15 June 1945. They were divorced. Iran Kennth COATNEY was born on 14 August 1921 in Alma, Crawford County, Arkansas. He died on 8 October 2007 at the age of 86 in Natural Dam, Crawford County, Arkansas.

Kenneth Michael COATNEY was born on 17 June 1946 in Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas. He died on 12 March 2016 at the age of 69 in Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas.

Kenneth Michael Coatney, age 69, of Natural Dam, Arkansas passed away Saturday March 12, 2016 in Fayetteville.
He was born June 17, 1946 in Fayetteville to Iran (Kenneth!) and Kathryn Carney Coatney.
He was a graduate of Fayetteville High School. He was a loving son to his parents, he talked to them every day. He loved watching Lonesome Dove, westerns, shooting his bow, playing pool and swimming. He was an outdoorsman, loved traveling some of his favorite places to travel to is Montana, Colorado and Alaska. He also loved snow skiing, water skiing and raising homing pigeons. He enjoyed spending time with his family, he would play basketball with his grandson Dillon. He once took a family vacation to Breckenridge Colorado where they all caravanned in four different cars and he taught seventeen family members how to ski.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Cy and Lettie Carney and both parents.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie; three daughters, Charlotte Shanna Cichy and her husband Joe of Acton, California, Lisa Wessel of Lincoln, Arkansas; seven sons, Kenneth Coatney II and his wife Brenda of Orlando, Florida; Justin Coatney of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Darren Jackson and his wife Andrea of Lincoln, Arkansas; Dean Jackson of Lincoln, Arkansas; Rex Jackson and his wife Dessie of Lincoln, Arkansas; two sisters, Shirley Guyton of Lincoln, Arkansas; Kathie Marvin and her husband Ken of Springdale, Arkansas; brother, John Coatney and his wife Cilcia of Bentonville, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Tiffany and Nicole Cichy of Acton, California, Ashlyn and Dillon Jackson of Lincoln, Arkansas and special nephew, Austen Moss of Lincoln, Arkansas.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday in the chapel at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

Kathryn Lucille CARNEY and Vonell DICKEY were married about 1975. Vonell DICKEY was born on 21 May 1925 in Hasty, Newton County, Arkansas. He died on 2 December 1995 at the age of 70 in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas.
