In spite of the fact she is said to have married B. A. Jones in 1918, in 1920, she was living alone in Noel, Elk River Twp, McDonald Co, MO, Hh 34. Eliza I. Barnett, Age 57, widowed.

In 1930, she is listed in Rocky Comfort, McDonald Co, Hh 31, Eliza Burnett, age 67, widow, Divorced. Married the first time at age 67.

Buried in the Chitwood Cemetery. Funeral services at the M.E. Church by Rev. C. F. Siler.
Her obituary is a puzzle is that it lists her name as Miss Elizabeth Isabelle Brown. States that her husband and two sons preceded her in death. [Later information about five marriages reveals why she might have been listed with her maiden name. Her grave marker is E. I. Barnett.)

Miss Elizabeth Isabelle Brown was born April 24, 1862 at Rocky Comfort and departed this life July 19, 1934 at her home in Rocky Comfort after a short illness. She was 72 years old at the time of her death.
On March 7, 1879 she was married to B. C. Barnett. To this union were born seven children of whom the following survive: Mrs. Mary Atkinson, George Barnett, Grover Barnett, Den Barnett and Mrs. Rosa Crowe. Her husband and two sons preceded her in death.
Many years ago she was converted and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Bethlehem.
Funeral services were conducted at the M. E. Church in Rocky Comfort by Rev. C. F. Siler and burial made in the Chitwood Cemetery under the direction of Pogue's Funeral Home.

Eliza Isabel "Belle" BROWN and Bevly Clark BARNETT were married on 7 March 1879 in McDonald County, Missouri.^69,169 Bevly Clark BARNETT, son of Dennis Durham BARNETT and Mary E. T. WOOD, was born on 6 January 1856 in Lawrence County, Missouri.^100,169 He died on 14 June 1904 at the age of 48 in Rocky Comfort, McDonald County, Missouri.¹⁶⁹ He was buried at Chitwood Cemetery in Wheaton, Barry County, Missouri.

1910 McDonald Co MO Census; Richwood Twp, p.145a & b. John H. Carter, age 50, married twice, 4 years to Eliza. He was born in MO. Living with them was son Hurley, age 3, and Eliza's daughter Rosa age 12 and son Dennia A., age 18.

Eliza Isabel "Belle" BROWN and William Thomas GOOSETREE were married on 13 April 1929.⁶⁹ William Thomas GOOSETREE was born on 29 August 1856 in Barry County, Missouri. He died on 30 June 1930 at the age of 73 in Barry County, Missouri.

In 1920 there was a William T. Goosetree living in Franklin Twp, Newton Co, MO. In was in household 10, age 63, with wife Dysie E., age 59, both born in Missouri. I didn't find him in 1930 anywhere. Perhaps he died soon after the marriage to Eliza Isabel.

Eliza Isabel "Belle" BROWN and Charley H. JOHNSON were married on 19 October 1930.¹⁷³ Charley H. JOHNSON was born in 1870 in Missouri.

In 1930, Charley H. Johnson, was living with his son Joe, Cyclone Township, McDonald Co, MO. He was age 60, divorced, married the first time at age 17, b. MO.

FindAGrave, Memorial #123682431, lists a Charles H. Johnson who was buried Owsley Union Cemetery, Longview, McDonald Co, in 1944. States he had married "Della Brummet" - could well have been his first marriage - he was born in 1868.
