Jency Elizabeth Harper of Oak Grove, Oregon Co, MO died 26 Dec 1933 of diabetes and senility. She was born 20 Apr 1848 in Cumberland Co, KY. She was widowed - her husband was Tom Harper. Her father was Robert Killman; her mother Sarah Killman - birthplaces unknown. Katy Harper was the informant. She was buried New Salem Cemetery (the certificate says she was buried on the 25th of Jan 1934 and her stone has the year 1934.

Jency Elizabeth KILMAN and Thomas Mark HARPER were married about 1868. Thomas Mark HARPER was born on 27 January 1840 in Tennessee. He died on 18 January 1914 at the age of 73 in Oregon County, Missouri.

Civil War. Served in Company H, 1st Infantry Regt, TN (CSA)
5 Jul 1863. Captured at Greencastle, PA during the retreat after the battle at Gettysburg. Held at the U.S. Hospital in Chester, PA
4 Apr 1865 Captured the day after the fall of Richmond and just days before Lee's surrender. Held at Ft. Delaware, New Castle, Delaware until the end of the war a month later.

In 1900, Thomas H. Harper said he was born Nov 1840.

Thomas Harper of Oak Grove, Oregon Co, MO died 18 Jan 1914 of cerebral apoplexy (stroke). He was born 27 Jan 1840 in Tennessee and was married. His father was John H. Harper; his mother Malinda Harper, both born in Tennessee. Buck Harper of Couch, MO was the informant. Thomas was buried on 19 Jan 1914, New Salem Cemetery, Couch, Oregon Co, MO.
