Buried Hennessey Cemetery, Kingfisher Co, OK

John B. Poindexter, aged 64 years and 28 days, passed away Monday afternoon, Sept. 10th, in the General Hospital at Enid.
Mr. Poindexter was taken to the hospital from his home, 12 miles northwest of Hennessey, Sunday and underwent an operation that evening. He has suffered with a cancer of the lower bowel for some time, and the operation was decided upon in the hope of prolonging life.
Funeral services will be held from the home at 10 o'clock this morning and interment made in the Hennessey cemetery. Rev. Morgan, of Ames, officiated at the funeral.
The deceased is survived by his wife and ten children, four of whom reside at home: Harvey, Walter, Arthur, Emory, Ernest, Elva and Ira, and Bessie, Effie, and Della.

John Bailey POINDEXTER and Margaret Christine HEADRICK were married in 1875. Margaret Christine HEADRICK was born on 27 May 1859 in Dent County, Missouri. She died on 17 July 1933 at the age of 74 in Garfield County, Oklahoma.
