141. Joshua Murphey GORE⁹⁶ was born on 6 May 1855 in Anderson County, South Carolina.⁹⁶ He died on 16 August 1949 at the age of 94 in Mansfield, Tarrant County, Texas.

In 1880, Joshua'a wife was listed simply as C. S. Gore, age 24, born in South Carolina. I believe her to be the Charity, daughter of Elizabeth Murphy & Crawford Pickle who was born in 1856. In other words, Joshua and Charity were 1st cousins. Both were listed as heirs in the estate settlement of their grandparents, Ezekiel & Charity Murphy and receipts show both received payments at the same time.

Children in 1880 included a son, C. R. age 4, and a daughter, Dora A. age 2.

Joshua Murphey GORE and Charity Savannah PICKLE were married. Charity Savannah PICKLE⁴⁷, daughter of Crawford Wilson PICKLE and Elizabeth MURPHY, was born on 18 April 1856 in Anderson County, South Carolina. She died on 18 June 1917 at the age of 61 in Hill County, Texas.

Charity married her first cousin Joshua Murphey Gore. He was born 6 May 1855, Anderson Co, SC and died 16 Aug 1949, Mansfield, Tarrant Co, TX.
