71. Abigail WALTERS³³ was born about 1817 in Grainger County, Tennessee. She died on 9 October 1877 at the age of 60.¹⁹

Abigail WALTERS and Abner WALTERS were married in 1833 in Claiborne County, Tennessee. Abner WALTERS^19,33,185, son of John WALTERS and Rhoda WALTERS, was born in 1815 in Grainger County, Tennessee.¹⁶⁷ He died on 11 March 1883 at the age of 68.^19,167

Mervin Walters states that Abner was a son of John and Rhoda Walters who moved from TN to Clay Co KY after 1833, then on to Green Co IN.

John Walters may have married again in his old age. His son Thomas Spiers Walters was living in Grainger Co TN in 1850, and on the previous page was a John Walters, age 70, b. Virginia, with wife Rebecca age 73, also b. VA.

Abner isn't given as a son of John & Rhoda in the Walter papers found in the Library in Paris, Henry Co TN.

Abner married circa 1833 in Claiborne Co TN to Abigail Walters who was b. about 1815 in Grainger Co TN and died 9 Oct 1877, Greene Co IN.

Haven't been able to find the family in 1870 or in 1880 in Tennessee. I doubt that Abigail & Abner died in Greene Co IN as has been indicated.

I did find this in Nebraska in 1880:
