Third Generation

29. Hannah WALTERS15,19,38,97 was born about 1765 in Virginia.38

Hannah's birth year is given as 1785 in the Ancestral File; I believe she was older. An online message board, gives the date of a son Walter "Cauthron" as born 24 Mar 1797. So she was likely born before 1780. Said to have died in Ohio. The Walters book stated she died 1818 near Belleville, IL [They can't both be right and a death date of 1818 is also given for husband Claiborne.]
Another son said to be Robert Sanford Cauthron and there was a daughter Nancy who married Drury Arrington.

Information from Robert B. Walters states Hannah died Bellville, St Clair Co, IL and gives the 1818 date for Charles Cawthon. Likely Hannah was named for her mother Joannah. With the birthdate of Nancy as 1786, Hannah was probably born about 1765.
Children:
Nancy Pauline Cawthon, b. 24 Mar 1786, married Drury Arrington in 1803. He was b. 3 May 1785 in Virginia.
Robert Sanford Cawthon, b. 10 Dec 1794, married Pheriba Piles. Died 1836 in Illinois. Pheriba is said to have moved to Arkansas with brother-in-law Walter, and then moved on to TX. She died Van Zandt Co TX in 1891
Walter Cawthon, b. 24 Mar 1797. Married (1) Bashaba Wilson on 18 Aug 1822, Red River Co TX [Bashaba was b.11 May 1803, Lawrence Co AR and d. 20 Jan 1849, Scott Co AR. Walter married (2) Elenor S. Garner Burton on 21 Sep 1851, Scott Co AR. Elenor was b. 15 Aug 1805, KY and d. 5 Jan 1875, Scott Co AR. She was the widow of Robert Burton and had one one son by Robert.

My name is Ken Oliver and I am originally from Booneville, Logan County, Arkansas, where my parents still live.
My mother is Mayrene Cauthron Oliver, a great great granddaughter of Colonel Walter Cauthron and his wife, Bashaway or Bashua Wilson.
My mother's father was Oscar Leo Cauthron, who lived almost all of his live in and around Booneville and lived to be almost 108 years old.
He was the historian in his family and that has been passed to me.
We know that Walter Cauthron was the son of Claiborne Cawthon (different spelling then) and Joannah or Hannah Walters. Claiborne Cawthon died about 1818 in St. Clair, Illinois and we do not know when Joannah (Walters) Cawthon died.
I have an extensive amount of genealogy on the children of Walter and Bashaway (Wilson) Cauthron. I look forward to hearing from you when you get a chance.
Best regards,
Ken Oliver
